About Level-C
Level-C emerged out of the Cleveland scene exploiting their raw, down-tuned creations. Formed in 2002, these four women, Christine Maynard - Vocals, Christina Crago – Guitar, Misty Everson – Drums, Janean Bush – Bass, have come together, melting their styles to form one level: Level-C.
Level-C can “throw it down” on stage, start to finish. From New York, Detroit, northern to mid-Ohio, Chicago, Erie, Washington D.C., etc., these four women are doing a tremendous job gaining a strong fan base in every city they role into. They have shared the stage with many national acts, such as Rob Zombie, Mastodon, Kittie, Otep, Crisis, Dope, Motograter, The Misfits, Slaves on Dope, Tantric, Hot Action Cop, Finger Eleven, etc. Along with several internet radio stations, Level-C is on rotation with the following stations: 101 WRIF in Detroit, 99.7 WBZX in Columbus, X107.5 in Lima, 100.7 WMMS, 106.9 WRQK in Canton, and 92.3 WXTM in Cleveland.
They handle every aspect of this business with strong professionalism. At shows, they take the time to thank the staff, fellow bands, and especially their fans. People generally love and have a great deal of respect for them throughout the musical community. Dave Landers, manager for Kittie, is quoted as saying, “You’ve got a great band here that is surely overdue a record deal.” This is the impression Level-C leaves with everyone they come into contact with.
Level-C was briefly featured on the premiere of MTV's "Battle For Ozzfest." While they were not chosen for the show, they did, however, most definitely make their presence felt, not only for their exceptional talent, but also for being the only all-female band auditioning. Level-C placed in the top ten overall with their audition.
Level-C attracts the attention of anyone and everyone who comes in their sight. It’s an instant jaw-drop when these women step foot on stage and hit their first note: “It’s nothing of what I expected, you girls have it in the bag” quoted by many newfound fans. They snatch the onlookers up and don’t let go. Level-C fans are unreal; they drive hours to get a glimpse of the show in hopes of leaving their sweat on the floor of the pit. Their following grows with every mile they travel, with thousands under their belt.....
