The project started when Andrew Strickland (guitar), Bobby Strickland (bass), and Nick Moscatello (drums) joined together to form a group named Seizure...January 2005 is when lead singer Rick Black joined the project. After going through such names as Destroying Tomorrow, Broken Bliss was formed. After two shows and recording their demo, Broken Bliss was joined by a second guitarist, Ricky Tarleton, after a sick Halloween show. Since then the band has played numerous shows at The Warehouse Bowl, The Oasis, The Map Room, Palmetto Pub, and the Music Farm. Broken Bliss has played with other bands such as The Library Fire, Catala, Day of Battle, Handgun Sonata, Steve Hit Mike, Slightly South, Vice, Near Fatal Fall, Syraphem, Shaman Mary, Beligerent, Agent Orange, etc. Recently drummer Nick Moscatello has left the band. He has been replaced by drum master Dennis Powell.
