About Alan Morphew

Alan Morphew is a singer / songwriter with an emphasis on both. After years of studying voice, he is an incredibly powerful vocalist. He ranges from sweet falsettos to deeply emotional power vocals. His songs are catchy and melodic with great choruses and meaningful lyrics. Alan's music has been described as Modern Folk Rock, and he has been compared to artists such as Jeff Buckley and Cat Stevens.
Alan has received several awards for his music and songwriting, including an Editor's Choice Award in the 2006 Kweevak Music Awards, an honorable mention in the 2006 UniSong Songwriting Competition and Best Songwriter in the 2005 All Access Music Awards.
Alan has worked with some incredible artists. He sang with Neil Young on the album, "Living With War," engineered for artists, including Tupac and Kiss, and played trumpet on TSOL's album, "Disappear". Alan has toured the U.S. extensively, as well as recorded and performed live in Germany.
Alan Morphew released his first solo album, a self-titled EP in 2005, a second EP in early 2007, and is planning to release a full-length CD in mid-2007. All albums are produced by Alan Morphew and mixed by James "Jimbo" Barton.
Alan is currently touring the U.S., playing shows throughout the midwest, the south and on both coasts.
