About NIMENCIA

The initial idea of Nimencia was conceived in mid 2003 in Miami by Marcos Jimenez (guitar) and Moises Jimenez (bass) from Caracas, Venezuela. A few months after playing music together, they began to compose their first songs. Roger Izaguirre (vocals) from La Guaira, Venezuela later joins into the idea that slowly starts to take form and reflects the different musical influences of each of the members. After rehearsing and playing with different drummers, the group finally meets Ricardo Mere (drums) from Lima, Peru, who impacts the group immediately with his level of skill and his personality. Currently the quartet is dedicated in finding ways to grow musically and expand the boundaries of their sound, which include grunge, metal, punk, and progressive influences, as well as others
